Rising from the endless savannah, Mt. Kilimanjaro, offers the visitor a unique opportunity to combine the highlights of the wildlife safari with an ascent to the Roof of Africa.
While camping options are available, we have elected the Morangu route and built our option around “hut” type accommodation for the convenience of the visitor. With prior notice, the itinerary can also be extended an extra day in the case of the necessity of the visitor to acclimatize due to the altitude.
Our Program (7 Days / 6 Nights)
DAY 1
Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (pm) Collection by KKT and transport to overnight accommodation in Moshe for briefing by tour leader.
DAY 2
Early morning departure from Moshe, we drive the short distance to Marangu Gate (Alt 1840m) in the national park for registration, briefing and meet your support team before we commence our ascent. We overnight at Mandara Hut (Alt 2700m).
DAY 3
Early rise, then after breakfast we commence the ascent from Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (Alt 3720m) arriving in the afternoon. Overnight at Horombro Hut.
DAY 4
Again early rise for the ascent from Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut (Alt 4750m) arriving in time for preparation of the next day’s final ascent to the summit. We have an early night in preparation for our “very” early departure next morning.
DAY 5
We begin the ascent in the darkness of the early morning to ensure that we arrive at our destination (summit Alt 5895m) at the break of dawn. Forgetting our tired bodies, we savor the “Roof of Africa” and begin the descent to Horombo Hut (Alt 3720m) to overnight.
DAY 6
We now commence the final descent to Marangu Gate (Alt. 1840m) arriving in the mid- afternoon, where we are met by the KKT tour leader. We receive our certificates from the National Park Authorities before proceeding back to Moshe to overnight.
DAY 7
Leisurely morning spent in Moshe before returning return back to Kilimanjaro Airport for your connecting onwards late afternoon flight.
- We have included “Arrival” & Departure Days” as part of the itinerary package to facilitate your overall planning. This can be modified as per your individual requirement.
- The above rate is for a group of six persons. Ask us for a rate for any size group.
Included – Professional mountain guides, cooks and porters, all food and drinking water, hut type (bunks) accommodation on the mountain, airport connections, entrance fees for national parks, rescue fees in case of an emergency, all as indicated within the itinerary. External flights, health/travel insurance, immigration expenses ect, covid testing and vaccinations, all personal items including sleeping bags, beverages and staff gratuities are outside the scope of the itinerary.
HOW TO MAKE PAYMENT
Payment can be made by direct transfer or by credit card through our bank, National Microfinance Bank (NMB) Arusha in accordance with the preference of individual clients and the final invoice at the time of completing the reservation.

Booking
Please ensure that you have read and agreed with the final quote and itinerary before booking your tour. Check group size, accommodations lodges, travel dates, activities, inclusions and exclusions before making a decision. We reserve the right to book the lodges upon availability and alter activities and itineraries in the event of circumstances beyond our control. We will do our best to replace any particular service with something of equal quality and interest in such cases.
Payment
In order to secure your booking a 30% deposit of the total cost is required except when your booking date is less than four weeks prior to the tour start date in which case 100% of your payment is required. Once your down payment is applied, we will email you an invoice to confirm your booking. The remaining balance is required four weeks prior to the tour start date.
